We've had an unusually snowy winter, but on Saturday the sun came out and temperatures went up. Keith, Darcy and I met Aimee and Jack at the park for a 3 mile hike. It was just what I needed to get through the next round of snow and cold weather.

*Obviously, Darcy was excited to be spending some time outdoors.

Phase One Complete!

The brick is down! There's no turning back now...

It's Restaurant Week!

Keith and I have reservations at Germantown Cafe tonight. Soup, plum pork, pan seared trout, coconut curry salmon or New Orleans shrimp (can't decide), and key lime pie, here I come!

Fireplace Remodel: Phase One

I came home to this a couple of nights ago:Keith had removed the trim, mantle, brass doors and vent covers.

The plan is to replace the firebox, demolish the brick, and make the fireplace a little more aesthetically pleasing.

Snow... Again!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We had such a happy and wonderful holiday season! Christmas parties, a visit to Atlanta, Christmas Eve candlelight service, snow on Christmas day, way more gifts than we deserve, and time with both of our families and friends all made it a perfect, festive month. We are sad to put away all of the cheery decorations and take down the tree, but more than excited to experience all that 2011 brings!
