And my hydrangea is currently green, but by this summer I'm hoping to see lots of white blooms!

It's Been Awhile

I haven't posted a picture of the progress on the fireplace in awhile. Here's how it is looking these days:

We need to build the mantel (which will be cherry), throw up the rest of the stone and paint the built-ins. Speaking of painting the built-ins... we can't decide what to do! Should we paint them the color of the trim (silky white), the color of the walls (gobi desert), do the sides white and the backs beige? Or something else? Any suggestions, ideas, tips, etc. are welcome!

Celebrate!

We've had a lot to celebrate lately including:

Joey and Lauren had a couples shower for their upcoming wedding. It was at a gorgeous house in Cool Springs with the most amazing view, great food and entertainment provided by Joey while opening gifts. We also got to see/meet some of the other people that will be a part of their big day.

Keith's dad's birthday was yesterday. We had a family lunch at Aimee and Nick's house on Sunday. He got a new toy that was put to use that afternoon while working on our fireplace.And, as of April 1, all of my student loans have been paid!

All things worth celebrating! :)

Signs of Spring

Stormy weather is frequent.
