Things Kids Say

So the first one isn't funny or cute or sweet. I was just really impressed! ...
Eden: Every car in the world goes to church!
Me: No. That's why you need to be loving and kind. And if you show people Jesus through your actions maybe they'll ask questions and you can tell them about Him.
Parker: Just like Paul!

Eden on the sunset: The air is pink and purple!

Parker: I think I'm smarter than everybody in the whole family.

Eden (laughing deliriously): I'm so obnoxious!

Me: Eden, do you like to be called "Edie" or "Edes" better?
Eden: Ummm, Princess!

Me: I don't think Aunt Aimee takes as many pictures as I do.
Parker: I should've lived with Aunt Aimee.

Eden: I'm the most beautiful girl in the world!!!

Eden: I'm a good girl!

Parker: What's a Bieber? (Justin Bieber)

Eden (with the most enthusiasm): You're my bestest friend EVER, Parker!

Eden's bedtime prayer every night: Dear Lord, help me not whine, not fuss, not yell.

Eden: Thanks mom, I already know.

Parker: Mommy, you're a little bit of a fixer upper (after watching Frozen so not a compliment).

Eden: Mom, we're quite a mess!

Eden trying to hug Parker while he was dancing to Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae): Eden, stop! That's making it hard to bop!

Parker talking about where he will go to college: I think I'll go somewhere on Boxwood Drive.

Parker talking about his future wife: She needs to love Jesus, be kind, and not be a bad driver.

We were at a friend's house eating lunch when a good song came on. Parker got up from his chair and started wiggling.
Me: Are you dancing?
Par: I just couldn't help it!

Eden: I love Daddy, Par, Darcy, my stuffed animals, you, and myself.

Parker: I love you more than Cheekwood! (remote control trains, Philips Toy Mart, candy and treats, TV, trips!)

When Eden says "though" it sounds like "doe." And she says it at the end of almost every sentence. She also says a little "bit-it" and I will be so sad when she stops.
Parker calls a hydrant a hydronaut and a restaurant a resternaut.

Eden: I have so many runny noses!

Eden fell on the aggregate patio and was crying. Parker: "Eden, if I had fallen like that I would cry too." And cue me turning to mush hearing him be so sweet and showing empathy (or sympathy? which one is correct here?).

Parker: Eden, when I get older I'm going to take you to school.
Me: That's my job! What will I do then?
Parker: You'll rest.
Eden: You'll go shopping and buy us kids' clothes!

Me: Sometimes you have to go through things that are really tough, but it is worth it in the end.
Parker: Like having to run errands and then getting a treat when its over.

Eden about a woman running at the park: Why she doesn't have a shirt on?

And one of my favorites...

Parker: Mommy, why does Eden have so many questions?
