Weekend Wrap Up

Last weekend Keith and Darcy had Daddy/Daughter time.

I went to Birmingham Friday night and saw this girl...
(old picture, but we were at a Mexcian restaurant
in this pic and we ate Mexcian Friday)
and these girls...

Saturday I was off to Gulf Shores for Jill's bachelorette party! We had a great time and although I'm a little sunburned and tired it was well worth it! Isn't she the cutest bride-to-be!

Photo Friday: Jill's Getting Married!

Jill is one of the very first people I met at Samford. Jill, Ann Claire, and I all quickly became friends. Most of my memories from freshman year involve the three of us. Jill transferred to Auburn our sophomore year, but we've kept in touch. Now she's getting married! Her bachelorette party is this weekend in Orange Beach, Alabama. I can't wait!

Mother's Day

Last Sunday was Mother's Day. After church, we celebrated with Keith's parents and Aimee by making a delicious lunch and breaking out the china. Once again, Cooking Light came through. This time the recipe of choice was Grilled Tilapia with Three Pepper Relish (it was supposed to be halibut, but we substituted). For dessert was a mint chocolate cake from the Whole Foods bakery. Let me just say that I will be visiting the bakery at Whole Foods often now. So, so good!

When we were leaving Whole Foods after getting everything for Mother's Day lunch a woman was walking in the street. Keith stopped the car and rolled down his window a little bit. The woman rambled on about needing food and going grocery shopping and could we give her some money. Keith, feeling generous and actually having some cash on him, got a $5 out of his wallet and handed it to her. She paused and looked at the money for a second before saying, "Do you have a $10?" Ha! People never cease to amaze me!

Law School Grad

I have been a law school graduate for exactly one year. On May 10, 2008, I was doing this...

It is so surreal to know that I have my J.D. and am a licensed attorney. From the time I was a very little girl I knew I wanted to be a lawyer. After a long journey, I accomplished that goal with my family and friends by my side. There is still a lot of uncertainty about where my career will lead, but I know that there is a plan for me, and I'll be ready!

Photo Friday: Andy and Mallory's Wedding

Last Saturday Keith and I made the drive to Atlanta for my cousin's wedding. Mallory and Andy were married in the garden of a restored 1890's home. The ceremony was beautiful and eventful (a bridesmaid that shall remain nameless passed out). It was so good to spend some time with my family, do a little dancin', and celebrate with Andy and Mallory!

Photo Friday

This Photo Friday Post is dedicated to Ryan! She's one of my very best friends from Samford. I can not believe that I didn't really know her until our junior year. She is so smart, fun, blunt, and beautiful! She also likes to take credit for mine and Keith's relationship. :)

Her birthday was April 10 and she was in Nashville that weekend for Easter/to celebrate! It was sooo good to get to hang out and catch up. I seriously can't wait for our reunion May 15!
