Better late than never, right? Here are some pics of our cute little puppy dog trick or treating at school (they went to the fire station across the street), at Trunk or Treat at Harpeth Hills and at Mimi and Granddaddy's.

Nashville Zoo
About a month ago Keith took off work on a Monday and took Parker and me to the Nashville zoo.
It was Parker's first zoo trip and he got to see (among other things) the meerkats and elephants.Tuesday, November 20, 2012
Seven Months!
Yesterday was Parker's 7 month birthday!
So far, this age is my favorite. Parker, your little personality is really showing and you are so silly and funny. You do this bouncing thing when you're sitting that looks like you are dancing. You make noises with your mouth and Keith and I say you're "beatboxing." That noise terrifies Darcy! You've also started squealing and practicing your consonants, particularly your "b"s. We hear a lot of "bababababa." Hopefully, that will change to "mama" soon. ;) You are making all kinds of faces- crinkling your nose and pursing your lips- and they are all so cute. You like clapping and high fives. You don't cry super often, but when you do, you poke out your bottom lip first. It's the most precious/pitiful thing ever. You're finally taking 2 naps a day pretty consistently- one in the morning and one in the afternoon. You eat seven 6.5 ounce bottles in a 24 hour period and we're giving you Ella's Kitchen pouches at least once a day, although you wear more than you eat. I've changed my work schedule so you're only at school Monday, Wednesday and Friday and you get to hang out with me on Tuesday and Thursday. I love those days with you and just can't get enough of your sweet chubby face... and belly... and thighs... :)![]() |

St. Louis
Keith, Parker and I had a little family weekend getaway recently to St. Louis. We left super early last Saturday morning and drove straight to the zoo. Apparently, the zoo in St. Louis is one of the top ten zoos in the country and it's free thanks to public subsidy from a cultural tax district.
The zoo is located in Forest Park, the seventh largest urban park in the U.S. Since the weather was perfect, we took a walk through the park and enjoyed the day.
When we left the park we weren't ready to head inside yet, so we stopped by the Missouri Botanical Garden.
The next day we saw the sunrise (thanks, Parker) and then headed to the Arch where we rode in a tiny tram to the top. On our way to the Cathedral Basilica after lunch, we passed this:
Cathedral Basilica has the largest mosaic installation in the world. Pope John Paul II visited the Cathedral in 1999.
When we left the Cathedral, we made a trip to Ted Drewe's for a "concrete." It's so thick that when turned upside down it doesn't fall out of the cup. (Thanks for the recommendation, Laura!)
After packing in so much site seeing- with a baby no less!- we decided to be lazy, order take out and hang out at the hotel Sunday night. Somebody really enjoyed the king size bed. ;)
Before heading home Monday morning we (ok, I) had one more thing to see- the International Shoe building. International Shoe Co. was a party in the Supreme Court case now taught to every first year law student in Civil Procedure when learning about personal jurisdiction.
And with that, we were homeward bound with a baby that slept 3 hours of the 5 hour drive. Woohoo!
