14 Weeks

I've officially reached my second trimester and it feels great!
Keith "lovingly" pointed out when taking this picture that while wearing my normal non-maternity dress you could not tell I am 14 weeks pregnant- hence, my hands on my belly. (This is not a compliment to me, but rather a statement about my clothing as he's always thought is too flowy.) If I also look very tired, it's because I have been. It doesn't help that this picture was taken at the end of the day either. I'm looking forward to the energy that comes with the second trimester!

Like I mentioned in Week 13, my appetite is back. To this point I've been eating lots of crackers, gold fish, plain spaghetti noodles and cheerios. I'm happy to expand my meal options to include food with a little more flavor.

In Week 14, Baby Cronin went to his/her second concert- The Avett Brothers! (Dave Barnes was the first.)

I have started looking at nursery ideas. It's so fun. We only have one thing so far that we've specifically bought for the nursery. Remember these?
Keith and I saw these driftwood hearts in a little shop in Laguna Beach.  I loved them and knew one would be the perfect souvenir for Baby Cronin. So, our second* baby purchase!

*The first purchase was made by Keith. He brought home a baby book from a business trip to Chicago.  Sweetest thing ever!

Birthdays!

Ben and Andrew turn 30 at the end of November. Their wives planned a surprise party in Nashville earlier this month. Friends from Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Kentucky, Illinois (and I'm sure other places) were all there to celebrate! The guys said that they were definitely surprised and it was so fun to see and catch up with friends we hadn't seen in awhile (and share our big baby news!).

Last weekend Keith and I took Darcy to a different kind of birthday party- one for Joey and Lauren's dogs, Kissie and Bella! There were at least 8 dogs there. Surprisingly, they all did really well together- for the most part.

Since the party was the weekend before Halloween, the dogs wore their costumes.

Lauren had plenty of food for all the people and pets. There was even a birthday cake especially for the dogs.

Happy Birthday, everyone!

13 Weeks

Last Tuesday officially marked 13 weeks of pregnancy. At 13 weeks...
Apparently peaches weigh 3 pounds seeing how that's how much weight I've gained. Obviously, my appetite is back. Hopefully my energy will be soon too!

At my first appointment in September I had an ultrasound and Keith and I were able to see Baby Cronin. Of course I cried. At my second appointment last week I heard the heartbeat. Both experiences were so amazing and sweet.

We're so excited about this new journey and are praying for a healthy pregnancy and baby!

63rd and 88th

This weekend we had a get together with Keith's family to celebrate his grandparents' 63rd wedding anniversary and his grandfather's 88th birthday! Wow! We spent the afternoon hanging out with everyone at Aimee and Nick's house...
We listened to a few words of wisdom and watched an entertaining slideshow...
And we had dinner and 2 cakes (strawberry and chocolate chip- yum!)...
It was such a sweet day of celebrating two amazing people!

Lately

Besides our trip to California, we have had a few other events and activities lately.

We watched Ole Miss get dominated by Vanderbilt. 30-7. Yeah.
We celebrated Aimee's birthday.
We attended Keith's 10 year high school reunion at Cabana.

And we went to a Dave Barnes concert at the Franklin Theatre. Sadly, there are no pictures of the reunion or the concert.

We have something fun to look forward to every weekend in October with celebrations for anniversaries and birthdays (even a dog birthday party/Halloween bash) and a concert at the end of the month. I'll try to remember to take pictures this time...
