Floor Finale!

Keith and his dad worked sooo hard over the long Thanksgiving break on our floors. And they look awesome. There's still some finishing work to be done and I'll do a full post at some point, but until then here's a glimpse at our living room.

Keith is 29!

We celebrated the week of Keith's birth with food, food and more food! We've had everything from gourmet Mexican to traditional Thanksgiving and lots of desserts of course.

We went to Rumours for his actual birthday dinner. We each got a salad and a small plate (shrimp and grits for me/crabcakes for Keith) so we would have room for Keith's favorite chocolate chip cake.

We've also been eating these pumpkin walnut squares 
from Eat, Drink, Smile. 

We met Joey and Lauren for a joint birthday dinner for the guys at BrickTop's on Friday night. 

Darcy's favorite part of Keith's birthday... opening the presents!

We're wrapping up the celebration with a trip to Arizona for a long weekend. We're so excited about some time for rest and relaxation and about seeing the Grand Canyon! 

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year I am so thankful for my family... particularly my little family of soon to be 4!

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family (and food) too!

 

18 Weeks and Happy Birthday! (yesterday)

18 Weeks and Happy 29th Birthday, Daddy-to-Be!!!

This week has brought a little forgetfulness and some weepiness. I blame a little of that on how busy and stressed I've been at work recently. Darcy's also been a little more clingy and cuddly lately. I wonder if she knows? ;)

I had my 18 week appointment today and I've gained another 3 pounds.  According to my doctor, I'm right on track. Keith was able to go with me and we got to hear the heartbeat again. We also scheduled my next ultrasound, which is when we'll find out the gender! Yay!

In addition to the beginning of Week 18, yesterday was Keith's 29th birthday! We've celebrated with lots of good food. Pictures to come! 

17 Weeks

Baby Cronin at 17 weeks...

Although all of my books and emails say that I could feel movement as early as this week, I haven't felt anything yet. I think I did have my first craving though... an apple. I do not like apples, but suddenly a juicy red apple sounded really good. I've also really been wanting sushi so tonight Keith and I are planning to go to Koi, a really great hole-in-the-wall place in Franklin. Don't worry, though, I will be sticking to the cooked stuff!

New Floors!

After many discussions (and a lot of begging on my part), Keith and I are finally putting hardwood floors in the living room and dining room! Of course, that also means that it's the perfect time to fix the weird drop-off from the foyer to the living room. Here are some pictures of the foyer project so far:

16 Weeks and Trunk or Treat!

It's Week 16!

Besides the obvious (my expanding tummy), Baby C's hearing is developing this week and he (or she) can hear my voice!

This Halloween Keith and I participated in our first Trunk or Treat. Our Life Group had a fishing theme and we handed out candy to tons of little cuties. I definitely got a lot of ideas for Baby C's first Halloween costume. :)

15 Weeks and Happy Fall!

I'm 15 (almost 16 now) weeks!

We're loving that fall has finally arrived! 

We've broken out our scarves...  

Kept cozy with our down blankets... 

 Enjoyed our newly renovated fire place for the first (and second and third) time...

And of course carved a pumpkin.
