Ocoee Trip

Last weekend Keith and I met Lindsey & Andrew, Jill & Ben, and Joey & Lauren in Ocoee, Tennessee for a whitewater rafting trip. I was scared to death despite Keith's reassurances that I wouldn't seriously injure myself. Turns out, he was right. We had a blast on our middle river trip with Ocoee Outdoors and our guide Dickie Colvin.

After rafting, we headed to Blue Ridge, Georgia for the night.
It was such a fun trip!

Chihuly

Last Friday night Jan, Susie, Aimee, Nick, Keith, and I went to Cheekwood to see "Chihuly Nights." The exhibit took Chihuly's glass sculptures and integrated them into the botanical gardens. From May-October on select Thursday and Friday nights Cheekwood is staying open late so that people can walk the grounds and view the glass illuminated at night. I highly recommend it.

I'm 27!

My birthday was full of family, friends, and food!
Just the way I like it :)
Sunday brunch at Loveless Cafe
On Tuesday, my actual birthday, I had lunch with AC and Angie.
That night Keith took me to a birthday dinner at Red Pony.
I always get shrimp and grits at Red Pony. This time I branched out and ordered the salmon, lobster mashed potatoes, and grilled asparagus.
Amazing. Obviously.
On Friday we had dinner at Keith's parents' house (homemade cheesecake= yum!) and went to the popular Chihuly exhibit at Cheekwood (pictures coming soon). Thanks to my sweet husband, family, and friends who helped celebrate my 27th birthday!

Crockett Park Concerts

Our favorite thing to do on summer Sunday evenings is go to Crockett Park in Brentwood for the concert series. The past two Sundays we've packed a picnic, loaded Darc in the car, and headed to the park for a little free music.

Memorial Day Weekend

Aimee has come to the rescue and loaned me her old camera (yay!) so our Memorial Day Weekend did not go undocumented. We didn't go anywhere this year and instead enjoyed a productive and relaxing weekend at home. It felt good to get some things done around the house, but still have plenty of time to do what we wanted.

We spent our weekend at the parkcooking out with familyand hanging out in downtown Franklin
We hope everyone had a great holiday!
