4 Months!

Parker,

You are four months old! You're a growing boy tipping the scales at 13 pounds 3 ounces and stretching 24.5 inches. You've become quite the grabber and gripper with Mommy's hair being a favorite (ouch!).  You had your first cold turned sinus infection and round of antibiotics. You were a such a little trooper throughout it all. You are a horrible napper at daycare or if we're out and about, but you do a little better if we're at home. You're not sleeping through the night consistently yet either. (Please start soon! Mommy and Daddy are tired!) Attempt #3 at leaving you with your grandparents involved a major meltdown, but they were able to get things under control at the last minute and Mommy and Daddy didn't have to rush home. I guess we can count it as semi-successful. Your belly and your neck (if we can find it under those rolls!) are ticklish and we love to hear you laugh. You love to sit up and look around, playing with all of your newly discovered toys and bath time. You've also started noticing Darcy. You get cuter and cuter every day, Parker man! Not that we're biased. :)
And my favorite...

Dinner and a Movie

Friday night Keith, Parker and I drove out to Leiper's Fork for "Lawnchair Theater." We had no idea what movie was playing (turns out it was "American Graffiti"), but we'd been wanting to do this forever and it was a nice night. We grabbed dinner at Country Boy Restaurant (yes, that's really the name), then headed across the street for the movie. It was supposed to start around 8, but it wasn't quite dark enough so they played cartoons instead. By the time the movie actually began, we decided we should head home and get Parker to bed. We'll definitely go back next summer... and maybe even stick around to see the feature.

On Saturday Keith and I had a date night. This was our second night out sans Parker. We decided to go to Kayne Prime. I'd been looking forward to going to this restaurant since last December when Santa stuck a gift card in my stocking. Keith and I had an amazing meal (heirloom tomato salad with burrata cheese, wagyu filets, potato aligot, popovers and a toasted crostini with ricotta cheese, peach marmalade and prosciutto... YUM!). After dinner Keith spotted Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban in the middle of the restaurant. Of course, I missed them. While we had a great dinner out, we were eager to get home to our baby... and apparently he was eager for us to get home. He decided to get fussy and nothing his grandparents did (not even a bath or bouncing) could calm him down. Cuddling with Mommy thankfully did the trick and he was passed out and in bed in no time. We'll see if this incident has been forgotten by the time our August date night rolls around. ;)
