Pumpkin Patch Fun!

Fall calls for a visit (or visits in our case) to the pumpkin patch! This year we took Parker to Cheekwood and Gentry's Farm. They were very different, but fun in their own ways. Cheekwood had a small pumpkin patch, scarecrows decorated by different organizations, and Parker's favorite- stairs! ;) Gentry's is more activity oriented with mazes, tire swings (so sad we didn't get to play on one. the big kids were constantly on them.), hay rides, and even animals. Parker had a blast running around, playing with toy tractors and picking out pumpkins.

65th and 90th

Recently Keith's family congregated in Nashville to celebrate his grandparents' 65th wedding anniversary and his grandfather's 90th birthday (like a couple of years ago when we celebrated 63/88 which I blogged about here)! Basically, we spent time together eating (brunch and dinner on Saturday), catching up with everyone, and chasing Parker around. It was a fun and busy weekend! I am especially thankful for being able to get a few pictures of Parker with his great grandparents.

First Haircut

Well, I went through with it and P has had his first official haircut! Candace came over on Thursday afternoon with all of her tools and then ended up only cutting the tiniest amount around P's ears. It really does make a difference though! It worked out so well getting his hair cut at home. Candace brought her son, who is about 6 months older than P, so they were able to play and Candace just worked around him. Totally stress and trauma free! And with those little ringlets hanging over his ears gone maybe we'll stop getting those "What a beautiful little girl!" comments. ;)

Happy Fall!

We are loving fall and Parker is loving all of the balls (or as most people call them- pumpkins) that come along with this wonderful season! A few weeks ago we took P to Cheekwood (pics coming) and we picked up this non-traditional grey pumpkin. I couldn't resist having a little photo shoot of P with his new "ball".

Hindsight is 20/20. P's new favorite activity since these photos were taken? Climbing onto the bench and jumping around. This child!
