Early on we knew that Parker would be a monkey for Halloween. It was only too fitting for our mischievous, banana loving climber who has a Curious George flap book in his regular reading rotation. And seriously, what a cute monkey he made!
(For whatever reason P decided that the banana peel must be edible -we usually don't give him the peel- so it was quickly taken away since he would not keep it out of his mouth.)
Halloween night we put P in his monkey costume. It was stormy (as in tornado watches) so we didn't get out. He was all dressed up with no where to go! (But he was upset because of the crazy wind whipping around, not because we didn't get lots of candy.)
Thankfully, his Daddy kept him entertained and his mind off the storms. He loves the piggy rhyme.
The Sunday before Halloween was our church's trunk or treat. We had chili (P had Fritos. So healthy, I know.) and helped man our Life Group's photo booth themed trunk. Actually, I helped with the trunk. Keith had his hands full with a restless, busy monkey. ;)
Parker's friend was also a monkey. They were too funny staring at each other.
Of course, we couldn't let Halloween pass without carving a pumpkin. P loves Thomas the Train so Keith carved a Thomas pumpkin. P helped (a little).
Now, bring on Thanksgiving (and Keith's birthday)!
