Practice Makes Perfect

Last Saturday I took a class on how to use my new camera. It was pretty informative and I can now say that I know something about aperture, ISO and shutter speed... I think. The next step in learning how to fully use my camera is to practice, practice, practice. Thank goodness I have some good-lookin' (albeit sometimes unwilling) models!

Photo Friday: Beach Time!

We did actually spend some time on the beach at St. George last month. We saw (and Keith swam with!) dolphins, dove for sand dollars, went fishing (for the record, Aimee beat the guys and caught the biggest fish!), took walks and enjoyed beautiful sunsets. I'm ready to go back!

After months of planning and working, this:
now looks like this!
I can't even believe it's the same fireplace! THANK YOU x a million to my wonderful husband and father in law for making my abstract ideas a reality, putting up with my nagging and working so hard to make the fireplace a focal point of the living room instead of an eyesore! Now, if I can just get those shelves decorated...
