We Love America!

Happy 4th of July and weekend, everyone!
On July 4, we got into the patriotic spirit.
Joined in the neighborhood parade and cookout.
And Parker decided to roll from his tummy to back for the first time... twice! (Please excuse the fact that he's only wearing a diaper. It's been HOT!)

Catching Up!

Over the course of the past month...

Parker was introduced to Harpeth Hills and the whole family was there.
I celebrated my 29th birthday.

Keith celebrated his first Father's Day as a dad.
Parker met his great grandparents.

And we survived Tropical Storm Debby and enjoyed some beautiful beach days!

2 Months!

At 2 months Parker is 22.6 inches and weighs 10 pounds 13 ounces. Our baby boy is giving us big smiles, blowing spit bubbles, staring at ceiling fans and mirrors, gripping tightly with his fingers and hating tummy time. He is eating very well and cannot be consoled if he is hungry. He has slept six hours on two non-consecutive nights. Hopefully, that will become more and more frequent. We survived his first round of shots, celebrated my birthday and Keith's first Father's Day, and Keith and I went on our first post-Parker date. Here are some pictures from Parker's 2 month photo shoot...
In store for this month is Parker's first trip to the beach (yay) and my return to work (boo).

These smiles melt my heart! So glad to finally have captured them on camera!

Photo Dump

Although the blog has been neglected (currently having major computer issues), I have continued to take 1000000 pics of Parker daily. Some of my current favorites...

Firsts...

Last week there were several firsts around here:

Parker's first shopping trip with Mommy. By the looks of this picture he wasn't very impressed, but he was very good (only 1 meltdown!).
Darcy's first bath (in a while). She's obviously not a fan!

Memorial Day Weekend

Parker's first holiday weekend was jam-packed with activities. The weekend started on Friday with Ann Claire's 30th birthday dinner, which was my first night away from my little man. Unfortunately, Friday was not a happy day for Parker. He fussed and cried the majority of the day so I was a little worried on my way to Sopapilla's. Keith kept me informed via text (and even sent a picture) so I knew Parker took his bottle okay (his second one!) and had a relaxing bath. It took about 3 tries to get him to go to bed though, which is really uncharacteristic. He just wanted to be held constantly, so I took over cuddling duties from the time I got home until 1 am.
Saturday Becky and Laura came over to meet Parker. He apparently tired himself out on Friday so he spent most of the visit sleeping.
On Sunday night Keith and I decided to take Parker to met Ann Claire, Becky and Laura for dinner at The Pharmacy, a new burger and soda shop in East Nashville. Yum! We will be going back.
Our original plan for Monday was to go to downtown Franklin for lunch at Puckett's new food truck, but it was ridiculously hot. Instead, we took a family walk at Crockett Park early Saturday morning (as in we left our house at 6:45 am). Then we  headed to Opry Mills with Keith's parents for a little shopping and to 12th South for lunch at  Edley's, a new barbecue place. That night one of my pregnancy cravings was finally fulfilled when we grilled hot dogs for dinner.
We're keeping busy this week too with lunch dates, a doctor's appointment for me, family in town this weekend and Parker's blessing at church Sunday morning!
