Parker's first holiday weekend was jam-packed with activities. The weekend started on Friday with Ann Claire's 30th birthday dinner, which was my first night away from my little man. Unfortunately, Friday was not a happy day for Parker. He fussed and cried the majority of the day so I was a little worried on my way to Sopapilla's. Keith kept me informed via text (and even sent a picture) so I knew Parker took his bottle okay (his second one!) and had a relaxing bath. It took about 3 tries to get him to go to bed though, which is really uncharacteristic. He just wanted to be held constantly, so I took over cuddling duties from the time I got home until 1 am.
Saturday Becky and Laura came over to meet Parker. He apparently tired himself out on Friday so he spent most of the visit sleeping.
On Sunday night Keith and I decided to take Parker to met Ann Claire, Becky and Laura for dinner at The Pharmacy, a new burger and soda shop in East Nashville. Yum! We will be going back.
Our original plan for Monday was to go to downtown Franklin for lunch at Puckett's new food truck, but it was ridiculously hot. Instead, we took a family walk at Crockett Park early Saturday morning (as in we left our house at 6:45 am). Then we headed to Opry Mills with Keith's parents for a little shopping and to 12th South for lunch at Edley's, a new barbecue place. That night one of my pregnancy cravings was finally fulfilled when we grilled hot dogs for dinner.
We're keeping busy this week too with lunch dates, a doctor's appointment for me, family in town this weekend and Parker's blessing at church Sunday morning!
