Mother's Day

Last Sunday was Mother's Day. After church, we celebrated with Keith's parents and Aimee by making a delicious lunch and breaking out the china. Once again, Cooking Light came through. This time the recipe of choice was Grilled Tilapia with Three Pepper Relish (it was supposed to be halibut, but we substituted). For dessert was a mint chocolate cake from the Whole Foods bakery. Let me just say that I will be visiting the bakery at Whole Foods often now. So, so good!

When we were leaving Whole Foods after getting everything for Mother's Day lunch a woman was walking in the street. Keith stopped the car and rolled down his window a little bit. The woman rambled on about needing food and going grocery shopping and could we give her some money. Keith, feeling generous and actually having some cash on him, got a $5 out of his wallet and handed it to her. She paused and looked at the money for a second before saying, "Do you have a $10?" Ha! People never cease to amaze me!
