Happy Half Birthday, Parker!

My baby boy is 6 months old. That is 1/2 a year. What? Still not sure how it's been 6 months, but I do know it's been the best 6 months ever!

At 6 months:
You weigh 15 pounds, 4.5 ounces and are 25.5 inches long. Both are in the 15th percentile. Your head is 16.95 in, which is the 25 percentile. You were struggling in the weight department (as in you hadn't gained any weight in a month and half) so we were ordered by your pediatrician to start formula. You packed on 2 pounds in 2 weeks by drinking 50 ounces/day (!) but you're evening out and slowing down just a little now, drinking closer to 35 ounces/day. You had your first ear infection, but you were only really fussy about it for one day. You are such a happy baby and so active. If you move half as much as you do now when you become mobile I am in trouble! You're still not the greatest sleeper, but you are improving. You're doing much better napping and at night you generally sleep from 7:30-10, 10:30-3, and 3:30-6ish. You've started sticking out your tongue, which I think is adorable. You've also started sitting up on your own! You are constantly drooling and everything you can grab goes straight into your mouth. I keep expecting to see a tooth pop through any day, but there are no signs of one yet. Speaking of grabbing, you reach for anything and everything in your proximity and you have such a strong grip. I'm surprised you haven't pulled out chunks of my hair yet (but am thankful you haven't!).

Here you are at 6 months:
