| You've learned how to reach through the crib slats to get your blanket and lovey. |
9 months was full of fun new discoveries and some challenges too. You really got into lift the flap books and your Curious George pat-a-cake book. You found Darcy's food and water bowls and it is impossible to keep you away from them. You're obsessed with banging on the piano and you "play" at least once a day. You follow us from room to room crawling just as fast as you can. You'll play "chase" sometimes too and crawl away from us when we crawl after you. You're still waking up for a bottle in the middle of the night, but that's coming to a stop soon, mister! You've started eating table food. So far you'll eat scrambled eggs, black beans, wheat toast, steamed yellow peppers, shredded cheese, waffles, blueberries, bananas, butternut squash and avocado. You don't like potatoes (regular or sweet) or green beans (steamed or pureed). You could eat your weight in yogurt. Since you've started eating, Darcy's warmed up to you a little bit. You are constantly trying to use her to stand up. You love being flipped upside down and being thrown into the air. We play peek a boo a lot. It's becoming impossible to give you a bath (you won't sit down!) and to change your clothes and diaper (you won't sit still!). You hate getting your nose wiped and are quick to turn your head. Sometimes you clap when you're upset. When you sleep you are all over your crib and you'll tuck your knees. You love Oscar, Mimi and Grandaddy's dog. You're cruising from furniture to furniture and you walk when we hold your hands. You got a new set of wheels (an umbrella stroller from your grandparents) so errands are much easier for Mommy now. One of your top front teeth has barely broken through and the other is so close. That will be a total of 4! You saw your first snow, but I don't think you loved it. That's my Southern boy! ;) Love you bunches, Parker man! Can't believe that you're in the double digits!
