Highlands NC

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with family early, so when the actual holiday rolled around we decided to take advantage of a few of Keith's vacation days and go on a mini-getaway. At the last minute we settled on Highlands, a favorite destination of ours from a few years ago. It turned out to be a little colder than we anticipated (as in 21 degrees and snow!) and we had to make an unplanned trip to the Clayton, Georgia Wal-Mart on Thanksgiving day for a new car battery, but we shopped, ate, hiked, and had some good family quality time in a beautiful place. Thankful for sure!
