Since he was little Parker has loved trains. Keith has talked about taking him on a train tip at some point and after some research and planning this was the summer! We surprised him with the trip about a week before they departed. The boys flew to Chicago where they spent a day and a half before boarding their train, the California Zephyr. Their adventure to San Francisco took 3 days and 2 nights and was filled with lots of window watching, card games, movies, and exploring the cars. Parker said his favorite part (besides having the top bunk in their sleeping car) was operating the doors as they moved from car to car. What a special time for the boys!
