Savannah

Keith and I had an amazing 3 day anniversary trip to Savannah last weekend. The squares are beautiful, the restaurants are fabulous, the riverwalk was fun, and the Westin was relaxing.
Welcome to the Westin...
and our suite!
We had a great view of Savannah...
and of the massive barges going down the river to the ocean.
We took this ferry across the river every day.
First stop: Paula Deen's restaurant! Then we walked around Savannah...

Savannah's Candy Kitchen
Johnson SquareIndependent Presbyterian Church: Lowell Mason, whose works include "Nearer My God to Thee" and "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross," served as the organist.

Keith spent a few hours before our anniversary dinner
at the driving range.
We had dinner at The Olde Pink House.Pork Tenderloin and Filet. YUM!
On our anniversary morning we had room service

Happy Labor Day!

Keith will be back from the beach today by the time I get home from work (yes, I'm working today)! The whole family is coming over tonight to grill out and catch up on the events of everyone's Labor Day weekend. I made a quick trip to Atlanta for a little shopping (for work clothes- not as fun or exciting) and a visit with Gramps, Greg, and Kathy. Erin and Blake were in town too. I was able to see Gramps for the first time since he turned 85, and he looks great! Next up: Our 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!

Congrats Sky!

Aimee is a dog lover with a special place in her heart for rescues. A few weeks ago she decided that she had the means and time to volunteer as a foster mom. We went to the Bellevue Petco (where Keith and I adopted Darcy) and fell for Sky fast. Sky was listed as a lab/husky mix. She is black with a white chest and feet and the most piercing blue eyes I have ever seen on a dog or person. Aimee took her home and worked with her on things like walking on a leash (not that she needed much teaching). Yesterday, Sky went back to Petco in the hopes of being adopted... and she was! She went home with a dad, stay-at-home mom, and sweet little girl.
Congratulations Sky on your new home! Jack, Aimee, Sky, Darcy, and Keith at the park

Photo Friday

Our family is going to be separated over Labor Day weekend. Keith is going to Destin for Ben's bachelor party, I'm going to Atlanta to see Gramps, and Darcy is staying with Oscar. We're all looking forward to our different activities, but Monday will be a happy day!

Sidenote: Today is the last day of my first week of work as a real lawyer! It was pretty uneventful if you don't count Monday night's traumatic phone call from my boss that I'd potentially deleted his laptop's harddrive!
