In One Week...
The past week has been very eventful! In between HOA meetings, guitar lessons, and work craziness we found some time to go camping at Fall Creek Falls with Joey and Lauren...

A Note To Our Readers
This blog was started as a way for our friends and family across the country to keep up with what's going on in our lives. It's also become somewhat of a scrapbook for us. Sometimes we have exciting news or pictures to share. Most of the time our focus is on the routine- our work, our house, and our Darcy. No matter where we are or what we're doing, we're happy, thankful, blessed, and full of love- and we enjoy sharing the experiences of our journey together with you!

The List
Anyone that knows me knows that I get excited about my birthday. I love that the weather is nice so activities can revolve around water, I'm surrounded by my favorite people, and I get presents! To relieve the stress of having to pick out the perfect gift for me, I keep a list of things I want/need. After a major struggle with a handheld can opener and a knife, an electric can opener has made the list. Exciting? Maybe not. Necessary? Absolutely!

Happy Meal
Earlier this week I went to McDonald's for lunch and ordered my regular- a hamburger happy meal with only ketchup and pickles.
(Yes, I still order the same thing I did when I was 5.)
Then I read this:

How appetizing!

Canoeing the Harpeth
On Easter Sunday after church, a Whole Foods lunch, and "opening" our Easter baskets (yay for a new watch for Keith, rainboots for me, and toys and treats for Darc!) we took a canoe trip down the Harpeth River. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful and peaceful day! We didn't see a single person on the river, but we did see plenty of turtles and ducks!
