Girls Trip: Chicago

Last weekend Angie, Ann Claire, Becky and I headed to Chicago for our First Annual Girls Trip. Ann Claire and Becky went a day early to get in some sightseeing since this was Becky's first trip to the Windy City. Angie and I arrived at the airport after work on Friday planning to be in Chicago at 8:30- just in time for dessert at the Signature Room on the 95th floor of the John Hancock Building.

Angie and her dusty, denim luggage circa 1984 were ready to go!
Unfortunately, we never made it to the Signature Room.
We did not get our hotel, the Inter-Continental, until midnight due to a 3 hour delay. On Saturday, our plans were further disrupted when our architectural boat tour of the city was cancelled due to massive amounts of rain.
We didn't let that ruin our trip though. We shopped, ate, and managed to squeeze in a ride on the ferris wheel at Navy Pier.
GhirardelliAfter "lunch" we hailed a cab and went to Lincoln Park.

Mississippi and Tennessee just so happened to be next to each other. Saturday night we had a fun and tasty dinner at Tavern on Rush. Despite a few little "bumps in the road" we had such a fun time. We've already started talking about our destination for our Second Annual Girls Trip!
