On Christmas Eve eve (December 23) Keith and I took Parker to Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World for his first time. We weren't really sure what to expect (as far as naps, meltdowns, crowds, rides, etc) but Parker was a champ for the entire 9-10 hours we were at the park, and then at dinner, and then it still took an hour for him to settle down and go to sleep! He truly loved every second (maybe except for meeting Mickey. Not too sure about that mouse.)! Here's a rundown of our day in pictures:
| Dreary start... the sun came out later and it really warmed up. |
| We got to take advantage of what they call an "extra magic hour" since we were staying at a Disney resort. We started our day in the park at 7:00 am (we're up well before then anyway so why not, right?). It was great because we practically had the park to ourselves! |
| So we may have fudged P's height just a little so he could ride the race cars with his Daddy. Keith had been dying to ride these since a visit when he was young. Apparently he was promised he could ride on their last day, but when that day arrived the ride was closed. |
| Tea cups! |
| Nap time on the train. The best tip we got before our trip! |
| Main Street |
| Mickey Mouse! No tears, but P wasn't getting anywhere near that mouse on his own. |
| Cutest Mouseketeer EVER. |
| The birds were way more interesting than the camera. |
| Carousel ride. |
| Not P's favorite. |
| Swiss Family Robinson tree house. This and It's a Small World were the winners of the day. |
| Ice cream break! |
| Don't let this look fool you. No way this kiddo was going to act tired, even at the end of the day. He was/is teething. That explains the lovie/fingers in his mouth in every picture. |
| Me and my boys at the happiest/most magical place on earth! |
Such a fun, memorable day!!!
