The past 3 months have been eventful around here. Eden took her first steps on August 26 and officially began walking during month 14. She signs "eat", "more", and "all done" and says a few words regularly (mama, dada, dat for that, pat pat, uh oh, bye bye) and others sporadically (baby, Bible, Darc, boo, diaper, cake, and the phrase "there you go"). She blows kisses, tons at bedtime. She loves music. She follows simple instructions (going to the changing pad to change her diaper, throwing things in the garbage, going to her chair to eat, etc) Her favorite places to play are in the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. She's obsessed with shoes. She claps and does this little gimme motion with her hand when she needs something. She has all four 1 year molars. She LOVES copying big brother. Anything he's into, she's into. That includes little things like brushing teeth. She's sleeping through the night- or more accurately, she can sleep through the night, but she doesn't always choose to. She's pretty much down to one nap a day, which lasts approximately one and a half to two hours. She usually goes down about 10am so on Parker's school days I get a little bit of free time. For naps I rock her to sleep, but at bedtime she puts herself to sleep. She's even been known to tell me "bye bye" and make kissing noises if I'm trying to cuddle too long before bed. She "uses" her fork and spoon to eat and gets so mad if I try to help her. She loves dogs. Any time you say "airplane" she tilts her head up to the sky, even if she's inside. She loves showing off her belly. Her official 15 month stats are 29.3 inches and 21.5 pounds.
