As the weather gets better and Keith and I are actually home on the weekends we're starting to put the plan for our yard into action. Saturday we spent part of the afternoon shopping for plants and then the rest of the afternoon playing in the dirt. My favorite purchase is a pink azalea bush. It reminds me of my grandmother. I tried to talk Keith into buying a magnolia tree too, which really reminds me of home, but we have a large willow tree to deal with first. There's a lot left to do, but we're excited to have a little color in the yard, even if there's no grass yet (sod is on the list).

Spring has Sprung!
I loooooove Spring! For one, it means grilling out! Keith and I dusted off the grill last weekend and it was fabulous!

It also means spending time outdoors! Which, in turn, means I can maybe start getting back in shape and getting a tan (both are desperately needed). Keith and I love taking Darcy for long walks/hikes. We're also excited about getting to work on our yard. We have a plan and can't wait to start planting and sodding.

Busy Bees
Keith pointed out to me today that I forgot to do "Photo Friday." Oops! To make up for it I'm going to post pictures to cover the whole week.
I guess I'm Irish since I'm a "Cronin" now, so Happy (late) St. Patrick's Day!
Thursday there was a bomb threat called in to the courthouse. Everyone in the building had to evacuate while bomb sniffing dogs were brought in. Fortunately, it was a false alarm. Unfortunately, I did have to return to work Thursday afternoon.
Friday was the first day of Spring! YAY! I am so excited about the warm, sunny days ahead and everything they entail!
Saturday was the best day of the weekend- Darcy's birthday! It was 1 year ago that we went to the Bellevue PetCo and adopted Darcy and our lives have never been the same (in a good way)!

NKOTB!
"Fifteen years ago they walked away... One year ago they shocked the world..." and Monday night New Kids on the Block performed in Nashville and I was there to see them! My sweet friend Angie got free tickets to her company's suite at the Sommet Center and gave them to Julie and me. We were so excited! It was so fun to reminisce about the early 90's for a few hours, but I must admit I am so glad those fashions (ie: crimped hair, neon scrunchies, and bleached jean jackets) are out of style!
The opening act was the dance group that won Randy Jackson's reality show.

Nashville to Asheville
Keith and I had the best weekend! Friday after work we headed to the mountains to celebrate our 6 month wedding anniversary. We spent the day Saturday exploring downtown Asheville and the Biltmore.
The Biltmore was built by George Vanderbilt in 1895 with $1 million. It is the largest privately owned residence in the United States at about 175,000 square feet.

Asheville is such a cool city. It's very environmentally friendly, outdoorsy, scenic, and, best of all, dog friendly. Unfortunately, Darcy didn't make the trip with us this weekend, but we did visit Three Dog Bakery and got her a couple of treats and presents. Saturday night we got all dressed up and went to dinner at The Market Place. Best Lava Cake EVER!

The drive back today was long and dreary, but we're happy to be home... with no plans of taking any more weekend trips for a while!
We hit up the Whole Foods buffet for dinner where we saw Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban! I am so excited to have finally seen them out in Nashville! And now, Hitch, one of our first movie dates, is on TBS. The perfect ending to a great weekend :)

Happy 6 Months!
At this time 6 months ago, Keith was standing in the front of Owen Chapel waiting for me to walk down the aisle. How time flies! Since our wedding day we have taken a 10 day honeymoon to Maui, visited family in West Virginia, celebrated Keith's birthday, spent our first married Thanksgiving and Christmas together in our new house, and have enjoyed the wedding festivities of several friends. Life has been so full, busy, and fun! I can't wait to see what the next 6 months have in store for us!
