Eden: 10 months!

Eden updates:
* Loves to see us clap and for us to clap her hands.
* Looks for us and laughs when we play peek-a-boo.
* Sleeps on her back or side, mostly with a swaddle blanket over her face.
* New favorite word: mama :)
* She is all about Parker's train tracks to his great frustration.
* She's so strong and likes to try to dive out of my arms if she sees something she wants.
* Milestones: got her two top teeth on 4/21 (right) and 4/25 (left) for 4 total, crawled forward for the first time on 4/28 (although not continuously forward until May), found sitting up in bed for the first time on 4/29.
* Likes to be rocked all of a sudden.
* Discovered door stoppers.
* Loves to splash in the tub.
* When strangers talk to her she either gives a bashful smile or bursts into tears.
* Still waking up at least twice a night. Napping twice a day although she really needs three naps to ward off the early evening grumpiness.
* Mommy is still her favorite person, but Parker and Daddy are a close second. :)

Mother's Day 2015

I spent today cuddling a teething baby with a double ear infection (second in two weeks, ugh) and eating popsicles with my sweet, wild boy. Not the Mother's Day that had been planned, but still spent with my favorites.

All About Mom- Parker, Age 3:
* My Mom's name is Mommy.
* She is 5 years old.
* My Mom's job is at home.
* My Mom is happiest when she is playing with Jeeps.
* My favorite thing to do with my Mom is play trains.
* If I could buy my Mom any gift, I would buy her an elephant.
* My Mom looks prettiest when I don't know.
* My Mom always says take a good nap.
* I love my Mom more than popsicles.

Parker is 3!!!

THREE.
About Parker right now:
* He loves icing. And chocolate. And sweets in general. I guess he takes after his mama. He struggles eating significant quantities at meal times (he's always wanting to "get down" and "go play") so dessert has helped get him to eat. And it's not like he doesn't need the calories. He's in the 10th percentile for weight and height.
* He has such an imagination. I love seeing it in action. Whether it's trains, cooking in his kitchen, using his doctor kit to give Eden checkups, or playing with his cars, he's always making up stories and scenarios.
* He has a million nicknames for Eden. I seriously can't remember them all. Eeks, Eden cheese, E-Rex, Easel...
* He turned three and all of a sudden became a cuddler (love it!) and a whiner (hate it!).
* The things he says: Remember that time... I not want you to tell me! Mommy, let's talk. I want to go there too! (when I told him I was going insane.) I love construction (or trains)! I want you to hooold me. I want a snack! Where's that way go? Far away away. Aw man! I neeeeed something. I'm getting bigger and bigger! Hey Mommy, Hey Mommy, Hey Mommy...
* He went to his first dentist appointment and did awesome! He had his teeth counted, checked, and brushed, and got fluoride with no hesitation. The dentist rewarded him with two mini construction trucks from the treasure chest. I rewarded him with ice cream (ha, I know) and a visit to a construction site to watch all of the trucks in action.
* He loves music and requests "his songs" every time we get in the car and they have to be loud. He also loves "dancing" although his version of dancing is pretty much just running around. He's going to be a track star someday. ;)
* He's a little crafter. Coloring, cutting, painting, all of it.
* He's the BEST booboo kisser. :)
* He's a pretty good sharer (although he has his moments) and I'm so proud of him for that!
* He no longer naps. I try to make sure he has some quiet time every day and he usually just plays independently or "reads" books during this time. Some days if we're in the car for awhile he'll fall asleep. I can usually transition him to his bed from the car, but most of the time he wakes up grumpy so I'm not sure it's a good thing when he does sleep.
* He loves his friends. It is so cute how he talks about them and gets excited about seeing them.
* He is officially no longer attached to his lovey, Wade/Waif/Wave. I wasn't ready for that.
* He is the silliest, sweetest, smartest little rascal and we are so lucky he is ours! :)

So much celebrating this boy!
He wanted a kitchen for his birthday

Florida & WDW

Right before Parker's 3rd birthday we took a trip to Florida to see Parker's and Eden's great grandparents and to go to Walt Disney World. We had a great time!

At Disney we decided to go to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom leaving a couple of down days for pool time and exploring. That meant not seeing any of the "Cars" characters at Hollywood Studios. To make up for it we went to the Art of Animation hotel which they have decked out as Radiator Springs.
Our first park day was at Animal Kingdom. Highlights:
* Parker went on the safari 3 times. He loved the trucks.
* We met Daisy Duck. Par gave her the biggest hug and later said that she was pretty.
* There's a "Wildlife Express Train" which we of course rode. A couple of times. A sweet Disney lady noticed after we got off for the last time that Parker was completely fascinated and wanted to sit and watch the trains arrive/leave the station. She talked to the conductor who let Parker sit in the engine and blow the whistle. Don't let the picture fool you- he was thrilled!
"Mommy, don't take my picture!!!"
Day Two at Magic Kingdom Highlights:
* Parker and Eden met Mickey! Just like with Daisy Duck, Parker gave Mickey the biggest hug. They also bounced together. It was hilarious.
* Parker rode his first roller coaster, Goofy's Barnstormer. He was so excited but during the ride his facial expression changed to pure panic. Again, hilarious. He was brave though and rode it twice- once with Keith and once with me!
* We lucked out and had a great spot for the afternoon parade. Parker LOVED it. Eden slept through it. Just like she did every other time we were somewhere super loud.
